Our School

This website is designed to let you know about St Michael's School, Aldbourne. It tells you about our aims, policies and organisation, and about our Aided Status and special Christian ethos. Founded by the Church of England, we are happily situated, both geographically and spiritually, close to our Church.

Plan of the school

The school, like education in general, has undergone change. We have kept pace with that change, whilst retaining important values such as the creation of a happy and caring environment where children feel a sense of worth and belonging. Our school has fostered and developed strong links with the local community by being a part of the life of the village and its events and activities, and through the support of a dedicated and committed Governing Body. It has been supported by the efforts of a vigorous and enthusiastic Parent School Association and, most of all, is enriched by the skills of a professional and hardworking staff team. We aim to share with you the nurturing and development of our children throughout the important journey of primary education, from that first transition from pre-school and nursery school, right through to the preparation for their entry into secondary education.

We hope you will find out how we go about achieving our aims by reading this website. If you wish to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01672 540434.

You will be assured of a very warm welcome.

Yours sincerely
